A large yet fragile image of Mary's lament — her eyes heavy with tears, grief gathering and overflowing. The vulnerability of the figure is deliberate: an invitation to dwell with her sorrow rather than pass by it.

Inspiration: 

The grief of mothers across the world who mourn their children in war-torn places. Mary holds her dead son, echoing countless mothers who each day cradle sons and daughters lost to conflict.
